ありがとう上岡駅！
the route we have chosen from today follows the old highway through the mountains. dotted along it are train stations that have almost become obsolete since the construction of a new highway displaced many of the people who once called this stretch home. now these train station shells accomodate only a spattering of fares each day. for us they will provide our nightly shelterfor the next few days as we tackle our first real mountains of the trip.
