we met nakanishi san on his way home from the chiropractor. he had heard about us from a mail magazine (was news to us!) and happily stopped to chat despite the cold wind. 2years ago he began a group aimed to encourage people to use their own chopsticks (called my hashi) instead of the disposable wooden waribashi, many of which are made from wood taken from borneo and sumatra. we happily accepted his offer to joinhaving used our own chopsticks throughout this trip. miki is now member 227 of the myhashihirometai group and i am 228, if you would like to be a part let us know and we,ll pass on nakanishi's details.
